Some studies on water balance have led to charts which allow to calculate the TH, TAC and pH in a balanced water. The Taylor's balance is a diagram which allows to establish the relationship between alkalinity (TTAC), pH and water hardness (TH).
The pH must be maintained next to its balance area, which depends on water quality. If pH is under its lower limit - especially in very soft waters - the sulphates contained in the water often precipitate (white cloudiness).
